This is what I believe- Take It OR Leave It!
I believe that it's stupid to banned a book when its worse to watch a movie with profanity or nudity in it than it is to read it! At least children can't hear or see anything that they shouldn't! If you watch movies that involve drug use, profanity, nudity, and/or sexual activity I believe that you should have to proof of age and that's just the way it is! I hate how adults just leave their entertainment arould their homes and then their children get ahold of it and then the parents begin to wonder why the child is troubled with this decision! Please Just choose wisely what it is that you read and what you look at! Thats all I ask! That's What I Believe- Take It OR Leave It!

I like to read alot. I can not understand why people want to ban books. If you don't want to read it fine don't, but do not limit my choices. If I don't like the book then I want read it. The first Amendment gives me the freedom to read the material I want. I was surprised at some of the books I found out that were banned. Come on Little Red Riding Hood. A classic. You can turn anything into a negative, but I would like to turn everything into a positive. So you read your books and I will read mine.
ReplyDeleteI believe the same about what adults choose to allow their children to read and be exposed to. But for me and my family we have guide lines for what their little ears hear and what their little eyes see.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, you do see much worse things on television. The best thing you can do is teach your children what is acceptable to you and when they get older they can decide for themselves. Most of what they want to ban the children already knows about it. These days children grow up fast and are not afraid to ask questions.
